Hi there! I’m Lauren. Welcome to my blog. I have very little idea of what I’m doing.
But that doesn't mean I'm not going to try to stumble my way through it!
I’m writing this when I have zero books published, so I’m pretty sure I’m just shouting into the void right now. But I don’t really care. No harm in writing something even if no one will read it, right? However, if you are a real life person taking a moment to get to know me then I want to let you know I appreciate your precious time. You are awesome!
I write romance. I also read romance. A lot of it. So that’s probably what I’ll cover most often in this blog: the romance I’m writing and reading. There may be some other random things I throw in here from time to time, because it’s my blog and I can do whatever I want! (Best bet is that it’ll be pictures of my grumpy puppy.)
Just a little background: growing up I was all about fantasy novels, and it wasn’t until college that I realized my favorites were the ones with strong romantic plots. With a few gentle nudges from people in my life I sampled romance, then took a deep dive into the genre. Now I’m hooked, and my brain is overflowing with love stories I want to write and share with whoever is interested in reading them.
As of right now I only write contemporary romance, but that may change in the future. I’ll let you all know! When it comes to reading I cross all the different subgenres and tropes, so when I recommend books it’ll be varied. I may even throw in a few nonfiction ever so often. Who knows?
Fair warning: I am a horrendous speller, I have a hell of a time remembering people's names, I use bad words on occasion, I like dogs more than children, I often deal with imposter syndrome, I think Chris Hemsworth is the best Chris, I don't eat meat, and I like making lists.
